Privacy Policy
Last updated July 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information ViewTrack (“ViewTrack,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the ViewTrack website, dashboard, and API (the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
- Account information. The email address you sign in with, and optional profile details such as a display name or workspace name.
- Tracking data. The public social-media accounts and posts you choose to track, and the public metrics we retrieve for them (views, likes, comments, followers, and similar). This is publicly available data about those accounts, not private information you provide about yourself.
- Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We do not store your full card number; we keep only a customer reference and subscription status.
- Usage and device data. Basic technical information such as log data, IP address, browser type, and how you interact with the Service, used to operate, secure, and improve it.
2. How we use information
- to provide and maintain the Service and your dashboards;
- to process subscriptions and send billing-related messages;
- to send you sign-in codes and important account or service notices;
- to secure the Service, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms;
- to understand usage and improve features.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data to advertise to you.
3. Service providers
We share information with vendors that help us run the Service, only as needed to provide it:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting;
- Vercel and Railway — application hosting;
- Stripe — subscription payments;
- Resend — transactional email (sign-in codes, billing notices);
- EnsembleData — retrieval of public social-media metrics;
- Amplitude — product analytics.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of ViewTrack and others.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your active workspace and preferences, and measure product usage. You can clear these through your browser, though some features may not work without them.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and tracking data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or a workspace, we delete the associated data, except where we must retain limited records (for example, billing records) to meet legal obligations. Backups are retained for a limited period and then rotated out.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update much of your information in your account settings, and you may delete your account at any time. To make a request, contact us at ernesto@maktubtechnologies.com.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and hosting on reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.
8. International transfers
We and our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
